Hilariously Amazing…

December 2, 2010

I found this somewhere…could not help sharing it….

It was the first day of a school in USA and a new Indian student named Chandrasekhar Subramanian entered the fourth grade.

The teacher said, “Let’s begin by reviewing some American History. Who said ‘Give me Liberty , or give me Death’?”

She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Chandrasekhar, who had his hand up:?’Patrick Henry, 1775′he said.

‘Very good! Who said ‘Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth?”

Again, no response except from Chandrasekhar. ‘Abraham Lincoln, 1863′ said Chandrasekhar.

The teacher snapped at the class, ‘Class, you should be ashamed. Chandrasekhar, who is new to our country, knows more about our history than you do.’

She heard a loud whisper: ‘F*** the Indians,’

‘Who said that?’ she demanded. Chandrasekhar put his hand up. ‘General Custer, 1862.’

At that point, a student in the back said, ‘I’m gonna puke.’

The teacher glares around and asks ‘All right! Now, who said that?’ Again, Chandrasekhar says, ‘George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991.’

Now furious, another student yells, ‘Oh yeah? Suck this!’

Chandrasekhar jumps out of his chair waving his hand and shouts to the teacher, ‘Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky, 1997′

Now with almost mob hysteria someone said ‘You little shit. If you say anything else, I’ll kill you.’ Chandrasekhar frantically yells at the top of his voice, ‘ Michael Jackson to the child witnesses testifying against him, 2004.’

The teacher fainted. And as the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said, ‘Oh shit, we’re screwed!’ And Chandrasekhar said quietly, ‘I think it was Lehmann Brothers, November 4th, 2008′.

Things to do if your Laptop unfortunately gets stolen or lost

January 27, 2010

First and foremost if you are reading this piece even if your laptop is not stolen then the first thing to do is, download and install Adeona: A Free, Open Source System for Helping Track and Recover Lost and Stolen Laptop.

The link is:

http://adeona.cs.washington.edu/downloads.html

There are other scores of laptop tracking software, just Google and suit your needs. Other thing to keep in mind is to jot down your device serial and product numbers and mac addresses in a safe location. All this information may come in handy to help locate or trace your laptop if god forbid any such thing happens.

But if you are not fortunate enough and have already been deprived of your laptop either due to your carelessness or due to someone’s excellent hand skills take the following steps immediately.

1. File a first information report(FIR) with the police authorities of the area where this incident occurred. Give the police all information you can provide, including the product and serial numbers. If you do not have this numbers, check for them on the package case in which the laptop came if you have preserved the same.

2.Visit and inform the customer care center about the incident giving them all the details.

3.Call the toll-free customer care number and inform them about the case, giving the details and personal details where they can contact you. The customer care will register a case and generate a case id which will be given to you. If luck is on your side and some good day the laptop comes to a service center, then will be instantly known that this product was blacklisted by you for having being stolen or lost and the customer care will give ya a call announcing the good news.

Don’t ignore laptop security because i understand the monetary and informatory loss it can cause. Take steps to secure your laptop through insurance and data backups. Because who knows when fate is not on your side.

A laptop gets stolen every 53 seconds.

Robbed in the city of Nawabs – Lucknow

January 26, 2010

2010 – I never wished for a dream start, but i did not want it to be this bad either.

Indian robbers are really getting smarter and professional. I have had a first hand experience this Jan. On my way back to college i was plundered of all my belongings, including my 50,000 INR HP Pavilion Laptop, my books, and most critical all my documents from high school to college.

People will blame me for my carelessness…but i know for myself that it was blink and gone case.

It all happened at Charbagh, Lucknow Platform. At first sensing the void at the place where my trolley bag was supposed to be, it did not dawn upon me, but soon i realized what had occurred and panicked and looked in the adjacent boogies, then on the platform, asking the rail guard to do something. But getting a muted response i decided to go summon the GRP police on the platform where after explaining the matter to half-a-dozen people ,  a two man team was finally appointed to search the nearby area and all the platform and exit areas. But it was already to late….What can you do after the cat has spilled the milk. The luck bast*** was kaput by now, enjoying somewhere on the richness of his booty.

After a hour of ceremonial search in and around the Charbagh area. I was directed back to the police station, where after lodging a formal complaint, sadly i was hoisted on the next train to Delhi. Soon i broke the news to my mother, who thanked god that i was safe.

The Lost Symbol Hangover

January 26, 2010

Just finished reading Dan Brown’s – “The Lost Symbol” . But my mind is still lost in those pages. I have been deeply affected by the principles of the so called Noetic Science.

Everything has mass. – Even our thoughts have some mass,  though negligible. Having mass means having the power to attract things due to the gravitational force. Therefore what we think matters, moreover what the masses in general think matters more.

Foe example: Take the example of a country, if a single citizen thinks that the country will fall in recession. It is only a single person’s thought thus having negligible mass, therefore no great attractive force for recession to fall in. But if the majority of the people think that their country is going to blanketed by recession.  Then the mass for each same thought sums up to a respectable amount exerting a attractive force far more superior causing recession to really set in.

All this sounds very interesting, therefore what i am going to now is do some internet research on Noetics, and see what i get.

But for now i have learned to keep – Mind over matter.

The Debut

January 26, 2010

Comparing human thoughts to network traffic, i realized that both forms are bursty in nature, meaning they come in short uneven spurts. I find myself in classroom thinking  about something at a particular instant and then suddenly the mind is occupied with a totally different thought at the very next moment.

Due to this bursty nature of our monkeying mind many-a-times a wonderful thought or idea is lost. For this reason i have always wanted to pen my thoughts/ideas but never really succeeded in the endeavor.  But now since i have some time on my hand i decided to sincerely get down to what i had been avoiding all this time.

So here i am, at WP….
